A one-day trek with our team is an excellent choice for active travellers on a limited schedule — about 6–7 hours at a relaxed pace, ending with tubing down the Bohorok River.

Into the forest

Your guide will pick you up at 09:00 from your accommodation to begin a one-day forest trek in Bukit Lawang. After a short walk, you will enter the Gunung Leuser National Park area.

You will continue your jungle trek through the rainforest for about 2 hours.

Along the way, you will pause for a brief rest to enjoy fresh fruit provided by your guide, while keeping an eye out for wildlife passing through the forest.

Midday · Lunch

Lunch in the forest

Around midday, you will enjoy lunch in the forest before continuing toward the Bohorok River.

Tubing down the Bohorok River

As your jungle adventure draws to a close, the excitement continues — your "jungle taxi" on traditional tubes will carry you back across the river to your accommodation in Bukit Lawang, with beautiful views of the Bohorok River along the way.

All routes require a Gunung Leuser National Park (TNGL) permit — Rp 150,000 per person, paid separately at the trailhead.
