This trek takes about 6–7 hours, at a relaxed pace with breaks—followed by whitewater rafting on traditional rubber tubes down the Bohorok River. Activity Description
Our guide will pick you up at 09.00 am in your accommodation to begin a one-day forest trek in Bukit Lawang. After a short walk, you’ll enter the Gunung Leuser National Park area. You’ll then continue your jungle trekking journey through the rainforest for about 2 hours, during which you’ll stop for a brief rest to enjoy fresh fruit provided by our guide while keeping an eye out for wildlife passing through the forest. You’ll then continue on your way, spotting wildlife along the way.
Around midday, you’ll enjoy lunch in the forest before continuing your journey toward the Bahorok River. As your jungle adventure nears its end, the exciting fun continues! Your “jungle taxi”—a traditional raft—will take you back across the river to your accommodation in Bukit Lawang, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the Bahorok River along the way.
